It is always classy and arty to have your greeting card customised according to your own creativity and style. I personally believe that making you own cards spells sincerity and uniqueness. Here's a short tutorial on how you can start with one:
Things you need:
- Hardcover paper (80gsm - 100gsm)
- Craft glue (industrial strength)
- Silver /Gold marker pen
- Scissor
- Pencil
Main Snowflakes

- Rainbow beads (to shape the snowflakes)
- Any form of embellishment (as the snowflake centre point)
- Beaded string (10" - 12")
Mini Snowflakes
- Glitter craft papers (preferably 3 different types with matte, luminous surface)
- Craft punch (preferably snowflake pattern / star / flower of different sizes
*Using your own creativity, you may incorporate your own choice of colours with matching beads, papers and strings.

Step 1: Stencilling (Mini Snowflakes)
Using craft punch, stencil as many form of snowflakes with the different types of glitter papers of your choice. It is recommended that you mix between luminous and matte glitter craft papers as the similar type of paper may not bring out the effect / will not enhance the snowflakes when combined.

Step 2: Pasting (Main Snowflakes)
As this is the gist of the card decoration, make sure you plan the positioning of these beaded snowflaskes on the card. Begin with pasting the centre piece of the snowflakes, moving in circularly then working to the outer layer using craft glue.

Step 3: Aligning (Main Snowflakes)
Ensuring the beads settings are aligned after all the pastings has been done.

Step 4: Combining (Mini Snowflakes)
After you are done with the beads, tap a little portion of glue unto the centre piece of the stencilled snowflake and paste it unto the card in random position (or you may prefer to plan your snowflakes positioning as well, its up to you). Continue the same, but this time selecting different size and shape of the stencilled snowflakes and paste on top of the first piece. Repeat the it if you feel necessary. Else, just two layer of different stencilled snowflakes is enough. Repeat the same for the rest of the remaining mini flakes.

Step 4: Stringing (Main Snowflakes)
Measure beaded string from the top of main snowflakes to the end of card and cut off remaining length. Draw a line on the card where the beaded string is measured from. Run glue along the beaded string and paste along the drawn line on the card. stack a book on top of the beaded string to enhance the pasting strength.

Step 5: Writting
Draft your message using pencil first. Once you are satisfied with the position and style, continue to overlap it with the silver/gold marker pen.

Voila! It's done!
Remember, to set the card aside for at least one day for complete drying before you send it out. The last thing you want is your recipients receiving a broken piece of card…
